Welcome to The Music Chain!

The Music Chain is the first "real" social network for musicians and music lovers. Everyone and all styles of music are welcome. This site was built by a musician that is tired of so called record executives who know nothing about good music telling us what we should be listening to! It's time to let them know that we are tired of the shit music that they cram down our throats on the radio! This site was created so music from some of the best unknown artists can be heard! There are many features on this site already, however, more will be added as we continue to grow. That's where you come in. Help me build this site the way that you want it. By telling me what features you want, suggesting new flags, or anything else you can think of that will make it better.

Features

• Profiles- Build your profile and tell us about your band/your self.
• Music- Upload your music and let fans search it and download it.
• Colaborations- Work with other musicians on songs by uploading your raw recordings.
• Videos- Upload your own music videos.
• Pictures- Upload pictures into your own galleries.
• Friends- Connect with other bands/artists, build your fan base, or discover new music that you have never heard.
• Status- Tell your friends what you are doing by updating your status.
• Messages- Send and receive private messages from your friends.
• Groups- Create your own groups just like on Facebook. Other users can join and have disscussions.
• Polls- Create your own polls and have other users vote. (i.e. best song, best video, hottest pic, or whatever you want.)
• Flags- Use funny ass flags to tell other users what you think about them. (We will add more based on your suggestions.)

The role that you choose will determine how you interact with the site.

The spotlight

Myspace and Facebook are so general and so huge that music just gets lost in the mix. This site was built so that it focused on musicians and nothing else. Eventually we will hold contests in which the winners will be spotlighted on every page through out the site! So don't get lost in the mix anymore.

Where is it going?

My goal for this site is to create a virtual music industry where there are no limitations and nothing is holding back artists from having their music heard or fans from finding the music they love! I have given you the pieces. Now let's build it together!
